After completing her degree In 2000 Maddy began training as an integrated counsellor and completed two years before deciding that her interests truly lay with a Brief Solution Focused Therapy. She was lucky enough to live in Bristol as the time where the leading Solution Focused Hypnotherapy school 'The Clifton Practice' is based. There she gained a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (DHP) and the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma (HPD).
Maddy ran a busy clinic at the Chiron Centre in Bristol for a number of years before relocating to Berkshire.
Maddy regularly attends seminars and supervision to update her knowledge and skill base and has gone on to gain a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Skills for Hypnotherapists CBT (hyp) and to qualify as a Fertile Body Method Practitioner and a HypnoBirthing (Marie Morgan Method) Practitioner.
Maddy is a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy, the Hypnotherapy Society, the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy and the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists.
